Nuggets assistant and former Canton Charge coach Jordi Fernandez has been added to Mike Brown‘s staff with the Kings in the role of associate head coach, the team announced.
Fernandez and Nuggets coach Michael Malone were once assistants under Brown with the Cavaliers. Brown is currently serving as associate head coach with the Warriors, a role he will hold until the end of the playoffs.
He was hired as Kings head coach earlier this month.
Fernandez, 39, has been an assistant with the Nuggets for the past six years. Along with the Cavs and G League’s Charge, he previously served as an assistant with Brown for the Nigerian National Team.
As for Malone and the Nuggets, they will be looking to replace their top assistant and defensive guru.
