While the Kings have seemingly ended trade talks with the 76ers centered on star guard/forward Ben Simmons, they “remain in engaged on several fronts,” per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Kings reportedly have made everyone on the roster outside of guards De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton available. And if not readily available, at least willing to listen.
The list of Sacramento players who supposedly could be had includes small forward Harrison Barnes, shooting guard Buddy Hield, center/forwards Marvin Bagley III, center Richaun Holmes and center Tristan Thompson.
Several around the league have told Hoops Wire they believe at least Thompson will be moved prior to the Feb. 10 trade deadline. The Kings reportedly are seeking just a second-round pick in return.
Recent reports, including one from Bleacher Report’s Jake Fischer, state the Kings have spoken to the Pacers about available center Myles Turner and power forward Domantas Sabonis. Fischer added that they have also talked with the Pistons about forward Jerami Grant.
League sources told Hoops Wire the Kings have been one of the most aggressive teams in seeking a deal, already talking to a majority of the teams in the Eastern Conference and many in the West about potential deals.
Basically, Kings owner Vivek Ranadive has reportedly given GM Monte McNair the green light to reshape the roster as the franchise aims to make a playoff push and build something sustainable.
