The Kings are signing guard/forward Ade Murkey to a 10-day contract via the hardship exemption, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Murkey, 23, is 6-foot-5 and has bee playing with the Stockton Kings of the G League, averaging 7.1 points and 2.3 rebounds. Stockton is Sacramento’s minor league affiliate.
Murkey went undrafted out of Denver in 2020, then signed a training camp deal with the Timberwolves in December of that year. He was waived before the season.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the Kings have six players in the league’s health and safety protocol — Marvin Bagley III, Terence Davis, De’Aaron Fox, Louis King, Alex Len and rookie Davion Mitchell.
