Knicks Looking For Answers After Being Booed Off Court By Home Fans

The New York Knicks are in a rough patch after a promising stretch, losing four of their last five games, including three double-digit defeats.Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, New York Knicks

Friday’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder was especially troubling, with the Knicks trailing by as many as 30 points and being booed off the court at halftime, as Andrew Crane of the New York Post reported.

Despite the recent struggles, the Knicks remain third in the Eastern Conference with a 25-14 record. However, as Ian Begley of SNY points out, they have had significant trouble against the league’s top teams.

They’re 0-5 this season against the top two teams in each conference, 4-7 against the eight best teams overall, and just 9-11 against teams with a winning record.

Still, there’s confidence within the team that they can get things back on track.

“Yeah, I think we do,” Josh Hart said when asked if the team feels they have time to turn things around. “I think at the end of the day, we have to go out there and execute at a high level; we have to go out there with energy, we have to go out there with no egos. We have to go out there with no individual agendas. We have to go out there and sacrifice. I think that’s the biggest thing.”

Hart went on to stress that the Knicks are still learning to gel as a new group and that talent alone won’t be enough to win games. “We’ve got to lock in and compete,” he added.

The Knicks’ early-season success has given them the cushion to ride out these struggles for now, but the next few weeks could determine whether they continue to build on their strong start or fall further behind the East’s elite teams.
