The Knicks have reached agreement on a two-way contract with power forward Luka Samanic, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Samanic, 21, is 6-foot-10 and was selected by the Spurs in the first round (No. 19 overall) in the 2019 draft. He spent most of his time with the Austin Spurs, before being waived by the Spurs on Oct. 10.
Samanic has appeared in 36 total NBA games and carries career averages of 3.6 points and 2.8 rebounds.
Samanic is likely to spend most of his time with the Westchester Knicks, also of the G League. He is also eligible to appear in up to 50 NBA regular-season games.
The Knicks other two-way slot is filled by center Jericho Sims.
