The Lakers have officially waived center DeAndre Jordan and signed point guard D.J. Augustin, the team announced in a press release.
The move was reported on Monday by multiple outlets, with Jordan expected to join the 76ers, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Jordan will have to wait 48 hours from the time he was released to clear waivers and sign elsewhere.
Along with that move, the Lakers signed power forward Wenyen Gabriel to a two-way contract and waived forward Sekou Doumbouya from a two-way deal of his own.
Augustin, 34, is the most notable transaction here. He was waived by the Rockets on Feb. 10, after averaging 5.4 points and 2.2 assists, shooting 40 percent from the field, in 34 games.
Jordan, 32, has been on a downward trajectory lately, or at least in LA, where he appeared in 32 games and averaged 4.1 points and 5.4 rebounds.
