King, 24, is 6-7 and appeared in one game last season with the 76ers after signing a two-way contract in December. Most of his time was spent with the Delaware Blue Coats of the G League, where he averaged 16.5 points, 5.0 assists and 4.7 rebounds in 32 games. Philadelphia opted not to re-sign him over the offseason.

King has also spent time with the Kings and Pistons since entering the NBA in 2019, with career averages of 4.8 points and 1.6 rebounds. He took part in a workout for the Celtics in August but was not signed.

King very well could be headed to the South Bay Lakers soon. If so, he would become eligible for a $75,000 bonus should he remain with the franchise for 60 days.

Los Angeles’ roster now stands at 18, with 14 players on guaranteed contracts and all three two-way spots filled.
