Fresh off a run to the Finals with the Heat, free agent guard Gabe Vincent is headed to the Lakers on a three-year, $33 million deal, agent Bill Neff told Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Vincent, 27, averaged 9.0 points and shot 40 percent from the field, including 33 percent on 3-pointers, during the regular season.
He then stepped up in the playoffs, averaging 12.7points on 38 percent on threes as the Heat became just the second No. 8 seed to reach the Finals, where they lost to the Nuggets. Vincent has spent each of his four pro seasons in Miami.
The Lakers also are adding former Timberwolves forward Taurean Prince, as we relayed here.
Free agent guard Gabe Vincent has agreed on a three-year, $33 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Vincent’s agent, Bill Neff, negotiated the new deal for a tremendous undrafted success story.
