The Lakers are signing undrafted Vanderbilt point guard Scotty Pippen Jr. to a two-way contract, per multiple reports.
Pippen, 21, is 6-foot-3 and spent three seasons at Vanderbilt, averaging 20.4 points and 4.5 assists in 36 games in 2021-22. He is the son of Hall-of-Famer Scottie Pippen, who won six championships.
LA also added undrafted Houston forward Fabian White Jr. to an Exhibit 10 deal, as we relayed right here.
Two-way players are destined to spend most of their time in the G League, though they can appear in up to 50 NBA games before signing a standard deal.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a contract that counts toward the offseason roster limit of 20, but does not count toward the salary cap unless the player makes the team.
All NBA contracts can be finalized once the new league year begins next week. The Las Vegas summer league tips off July 7.
