The Lakers are trading guard Patrick Beverley to the Magic for center Mo Bamba and a second-round pick, according to Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report/TNT.
Beverley was in his first season with the Lakers following a summer trade with the Jazz. Now, both Beverley and Russell Westbrook (traded to Jazz) are gone.
So is center Thomas Bryant, who was traded to the Nuggets for shooting guard Davon Reed. So Bamba will presumably serve as frontcourt depth behind the likes of big men Anthony Davis and newcomer Jarred Vanderbilt, acquired in the Westbrook trade with the Jazz.
It is not known if the Magic will keep Beverley or waive him, though the latter is safe bet.

Im a Pat Bev fan but what are the Magic thinking? You really don’t think you can get more for a recent top 10 pick center than a second round pick and a guy who you can sign in pretty much any offseason in free agency?? More Lakers under-the-table deals, feels like.
