The Lakers intend to waive two-way forward Sekou Doumbouya and sign shooting guard Chaundee Brown, as first relayed by Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Doumbouya, 20, is 6-foot-8 and currently recovering from a foot injury. He signed his two-way deal with the Lakers in mid-October.
The No. 15 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft by the Pistons, Doumbouya appeared in two games with the Lakers this season, averaging 7.0 points and 3.0 rebounds.

Brown, 22, is 6-5 and will fill the two-way slot vacated by Doumbouya, with the Lakers officially announcing the moves in a tweet. Brown went undrafted out of Wake Forest in late July.
He signed with the Lakers in August, but was waived before the season. He then signed with the G League’s South Bay Lakers on Oct. 23.
Per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Brown is not with the LA Lakers as they embark on five-game road trip, their longest stretch away from home of the early season.
