The Lakers intend to waive point guard Mac McClung, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic.
McClung, 22, is 6-foot-2 and went undrafted out of Texas Tech. He played two minutes in the Lakers’ preseason loss to the Warriors on Tuesday, and is now likely headed to the South Bay Lakers of the G League.
He signed a training camp contract with the Lakers after spending time with their summer league team.
His college career started at Georgetown, before he transferred to Tech for his final two seasons.
