LeBron James Must Return From Groin Injury By April 3 To Extend All-NBA Streak To 21 Straight Seasons

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James must return from his groin injury by April 3 to extend his All-NBA streak to 21 straight seasons.

LeBron suffered a groin strain against the Boston Celtics on March 8. The NBA legend is expected to miss one-to-two weeks.

One thing I haven’t seen anyone talking about: LeBron James would have to return by April 3 to be award-eligible and extend his incredible All-NBA streak to 21 consecutive seasons.

LeBron is averaging 25.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 8.5 assists this season for the Lakers while shooting 51.7% from the field, 38.4% from beyond the arc and 77.0% from the free-throw line.

The leading scorer in NBA history, LeBron (40) is the oldest player in the league. He suffered a serious groin injury in his first season with the Lakers back in 2018-19.

The good news is that LeBron didn’t injure his groin that severely this time around.

The Lakers are in second place in the Western Conference standings. They acquired Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks for Anthony Davis and Max Christie in what is being called the most stunning trade in NBA history.

With LeBron out, Doncic and Austin Reaves will have to take their games to another level for the Lakers to stay afloat in the rugged Western Conference.

LeBron has career averages of 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.7 blocks with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Lakers. He’s a four-time MVP, a four-time champion, a four-time Finals MVP, a one-time scoring champion and a one-time assists champion.

A future Hall of Famer, LeBron is the only player in NBA history to rank top five all-time in points and assists, the only player to win three Finals MVPs with three different teams, the only player with 40,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 10,000 career assists and the only player to score 50,000 points combining the regular season and playoffs.

LeBron, who grew up idolizing Chicago Bulls icon Michael Jordan, is first in NBA history in points, fourth in assists, sixth in steals, second in field goals, seventh in 3-point field goals, fifth in triple-doubles, seventh in points per game and third in player efficiency rating.
