Lakers star LeBron James is listed as questionable for Sunday’s road game against the Pistons, according to the team’s official injury report.
James returned to the lineup for Friday’s loss to the Celtics after missing eight straight with an abdominal strain. There had been some belief previously that he may play every other game for a while.
James finished with 23 points and six rebounds in 32 minutes vs. Boston, but the Lakers fell to 8-9 and saw their road skid hit four.

“I felt OK,” James said. “Obviously being out 2 1/2 weeks, I felt kind of like a rookie again, just being away from the game. Excited. Felt good enough that I could trust my body.”
The Lakers were 3-5 in the games James missed. He also missed two earlier in the season with a sore ankle. They split those games.
If the playoffs started today, the Lakers would be on the outside looking in.
“It’s never 65 games left (in the season),” James said. “We need to play better.”
