Team USA won its fourth straight Olympic title at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

“USA Basketball has been pursuing Holiday for much of the NBA season, and it’s believed Holiday has delivered his commitment to USAB officials in recent weeks, sources said,” Charania and Vardon wrote. “Team officials have valued Holiday’s two-way ability, point-of-attack defense and dynamic playmaking. Holiday was considered Team USA’s second-most important player behind Kevin Durant on the gold-medal-winning team in Tokyo in 2021.

“Holiday would join several superstar players who are considered locks for the Paris Games, barring injury, including Durant, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid and Jayson Tatum.”

Featuring 28 players who have represented the USA in the Olympics and/or FIBA World Cup, the 2024 USA Men’s National Team finalists are Bam Adebayo, Jarrett Allen, Paolo Banchero, Desmond Bane, Scottie Barnes, Devin Booker, Mikal Bridges, Jaylen Brown, Jalen Brunson, Jimmy Butler, Alex Caruso, Curry, Anthony Davis, Durant, Anthony Edwards, Embiid, De’Aaron Fox, Paul George, Aaron Gordon, Tyrese Haliburton, James Harden, Josh Hart, Tyler Herro, Holiday, Chet Holmgren, Brandon Ingram, Kyrie Irving, Jaren Jackson Jr., LeBron, Cam Johnson, Walker Kessler, Kawhi Leonard, Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, Chris Paul, Bobby Portis, Austin Reaves, Duncan Robinson, Tatum, Derrick White and Trae Young.

LeBron, Durant and Curry, three of the greatest players in NBA history, have never played in the Olympics together as a trio. LeBron and Durant have won a gold medal together.

Team USA should win another gold medal in the 2024 Olympics. They will have elite NBA players playing for them, headlined by LeBron, Durant and Curry.

LeBron is 39. He’s the oldest player in the NBA. The King likely won’t have to score the ball that much for Team USA this summer since the roster will be loaded with talent.
