The Magic are looking to trade guard/forward Terrence Ross and shooting guard Gary Harris ahead of the Feb. 10 deadline, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Both are veteran players who aren’t expected to be long-term parts of Orlando’s rebuild.
As Stein noted, Ross is a natural target for the Lakers and Jazz. The Cavaliers are also believed to have at least a small interest in Ross or Harris.
Ross, 30, is 6-foot-6 and averaging 11.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 39 games entering Monday night.
Harris, 27, is 6-4 and averaging similar numbers to Ross — at 11.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 40 appearances.
Rival executives seem to think the Magic will be asking more in return for Harris than they will for Ross. Harris’ contract has expires at the end of the season, while Ross has a year left on his current deal.
“The Magic are widely expected to trade one or both before the Feb. 10 trade deadline depending on the level of draft capital they can get in return,” Stein wrote.
