The Magic have agreed to a one-year contract with veteran shooting guard E’Twaun Moore, agent Mark Bartelstein told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Moore, 32, is 6-foot-3 and averaged 4.9 points and 1.7 rebounds in 27 games last season with the Western Conference champion Suns. He appeared in seven games in the playoffs.
Just like last season, Moore will be playing on a one-year deal for the veteran’s minimum. This is his second stint with Orlando, where he spent the early portion of his career. He has also spent time with the Celtics, Bulls and Pelicans.
The Magic have 17 players on the roster, including 14 with guaranteed contracts. Moore will make it 15.
While the Magic are going through a rebuild under new coach Jamahl Mosley, a veteran such as Moore should help the youth on both the court and in the locker room.
