Magic center Robin Lopez has been drawing interest from multiple teams ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Lopez, 33, is 7-foot-0 and is 8.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 24 appearances through Saturday. His experience and easily movable $5 million contract is what has rival teams interested.
“Orlando signed Lopez to give them veteran depth behind developing centers Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr.,” Real GM wrote. “The Magic have praised Lopez’s work in practice against the two young bigs, as well as his ability to produce when his number is called for games.”
The well-traveled Lopez has also spent time with the Wizards, Bucks, Bulls, Knicks, Suns and Trail Blazers.
