Rookie power forward Marcus Bingham Jr. has been waived by the Texas Legends of the G League after suffering a season-ending injury, as relayed by Kyle Austin of MLive.com.
Bingham, 22, is 7-foot-0 and went undrafted out of Michigan State, signing with the Mavericks in September, before being waived a month later. The Legends are the Mavs’ G League affiliate.
The nature of Bingham’s injury has not been revealed, only that he’s out for the season.
He averaged 9.3 points and 6.3 rebounds last season as senior with the Spartans. He then appeared in five games with Dallas’ summer team, averaging 5.4 points.
