Free agent guard Markus Howard has agreed to a two-year contract with Spanish club Baskonia, as relayed by Donatas Urbonis of BasketNews.
Howard, 23, is 5-foot-10 and spent each of his first two seasons with the Nuggets, each time on a two-way contract. He suffered a sprained knee early last season, setting him back and limiting him to 31 appearances. He averaged 4.1 points.
The Nuggets did not extend a qualifying offer this offseason, making Howard an unrestricted free agent. The former Marquette standout drew interest from several NBA teams before ultimately deciding to play internationally.
Home of Glory first reported that Howard and Baskonia were nearing an agreement.
