The Mavericks are signing undrafted Michigan State center/forward Marcus Bingham to an Exhibit 10 contract, per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
Bingham, 21, is 7-foot-0 and spent all four seasons at Michigan State, averaging 9.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 35 games in 2021-22.
The Mavs clearly have been on the lockout for big men, and Bingham could be a project for them in the G League. They already pulled off a trade with the Rockets for center Christian Wood, announced Thursday.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a contract that counts toward the offseason roster limit of 20, but does not count toward the salary cap unless the player makes the team.
All NBA contracts can be finalized once the new league year begins next week. The Las Vegas summer league tips off July 7.
