The Mavericks have agreed to a 10-day contract with power forward Chris Silva, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Silva, 26, is 6-foot-8 and last appeared in the NBA with the Heat, when he played nine games in 2021-22. As Scotto noted, Silva has been playing for the G League’s College Parks SkyHawks this year, averaging 14.2 points and 7.6 rebounds.
He has served several stints with the Heat, as well as spent time with the Kings and Timberwolves, carrying career averages of 2.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in 69 total games.
The Mavs don’t play again until Thursday, so it seems likely that is when Silva’s deal will become official, just so both sides can make the most of their 10 days. That would make him eligible for six games overall.
This marks the SkyHawks’ fourth call-up of the season, Scotto wrote.
