Dallas now has six players in the protocol, with the roster in major flux as the league continues on despite missing multiple of regulars, and the list growing by the day.
“It’s especially tough timing for Doncic, who appeared to be on the verge of returning to action after missing the Mavs’ last five games due to a left ankle ailment,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors. “Assuming he has tested positive, he’ll now be out for the next 10 days or until he can return two consecutive negative tests at least 24 hours apart.”
Over the last several days, the Mavericks have signed shooting guard Theo Pinson (story), forward Marquese Chriss (story), point guard Brandon Knight (story), small forward George King (story) and point guard Carlik Jones.
