The Dallas Mavericks have signed point guard Brandon Williams to a two-way contract and waived shooting guard Dexter Dennis, the team announced.
Williams, 24, is 6-1 and has been playing with the Osceola Magic, Orlando’s G League affiliate. He has appeared in 24 NBA games, all with the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2021-22 season.
With Osceola, Williams averaged 23.9 points and 5.6 assists in 13 appearances this season.
Dennis, 24, is 6-5 and signed with the Mavericks in September. That deal was converted to a two-way contract a month later. He has not appeared in an NBA game, though he is averaging 15.7 points and 6.4 points with the G League’s Texas Legends.
