The Mavericks are set to guarantee the contract of center Moses Brown for the rest of the season, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.
Brown, 22, is 7-foot-2 and is due to make $1.7 million. He is averaging 3.6 points and 2.3 rebounds in 22 appearances.
He appeared in 43 games with the Thunder last season, and nine with the Trail Blazers the year before that as a rookie. He was traded by the Thunder to the Celtics in June as part of the Al Horford and Kemba Walker deal, then traded by the Celtics to the Mavericks in July.
Prior to joining the Mavs, Brown played one game for the Texas Legends of the G League and scored 23 points.
Friday is the deadline for NBA teams to guarantee contracts for the rest of the season.
