Former Cavaliers and Lakers coach Mike Brown is among the finalists for the Kings coaching vacancy, per James Ham of ESPN 1320.
ESPN analyst and former Warriors coach Mark Jackson is also a finalist, as is former Hornets and Magic coach Steve Clifford, Ham added.
Four other candidates — — Mike D’Antoni, Celtics assistant Will Hardy and Bucks assistants Darvin Ham and Charles Lee — have been told they are no longer in the running.
Brown is currently an assistant under Steve Kerr with the Warriors. Along with Jackson, Brown has been mentioned as a candidate for the Lakers’ coaching opening.
The Kings are looking to replace interim coach Alvin Gentry, who replaced Luke Walton early this past season. They have not made the playoffs since 2006.
