Restricted free agent forward Miles Bridges is signing the Hornets’ qualifying offer of $7.9 million, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Bridges will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season, barring an extension.
He missed all of last season following a domestic assault incident and will be suspended by the NBA for the first 10 games of 2203-24. He was actually suspended for 30 games, but the league determined that he has already served 20.
Bridges posted a picture of himself working out in Charlotte on social media back in April, indicating a return was likely forthcoming.
He put together a career year in 2021-22, averaging 20.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists. All were career highs.
Bridges has officially signed the qualifying offer now, his agent Rich Paul tells ESPN. He'll be an unrestricted free agent next summer. https://t.co/kOfqn6hAi0
