It was a strange quote from one of the best players in the league.

Despite not watching a lot of basketball, Antetokounmpo is still one of the smartest players in the league. He routinely picks apart defenses with his scoring and passing skills.

An eight-time All-Star, Antetokounmpo is averaging 30.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks this season while shooting 61.6% from the field, 25.5% from beyond the arc and 65.3% from the free-throw line. The Greek Freak has 43 double-doubles and seven triple-doubles.

Antetokounmpo is first in the NBA in total points, third in points per game, fifth in total rebounds, sixth in rebounds per game, 14th in offensive rebounds, fifth in defensive rebounds, 10th in total assists, 18th in assists per game, seventh in steals, 12th in steals per game, 20th in blocks, first in field goals, first in 2-point field goals, second in free throws and fourth in player efficiency rating.

A future Hall of Famer, Antetokounmpo is one of the most complete players in NBA history. He guided the Bucks to the 2021 title over the Phoenix Suns in six games, winning Finals MVP along the way.

The 29-year-old Antetokounmpo has career averages of 23.2 points, 9.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks. He’s a two-time MVP, one-time Defensive Player of the Year and one-time Finals MVP.

Antetokounmpo has also made seven All-NBA teams and five All-Defensive teams. He’s one of three players in NBA history to win MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season.

The Bucks are in third place in the East this season with a record of 35-21. However, they are only 3-7 under Doc Rivers
