NBA Notes: Knicks, OG Anunoby, Sixers, Paul George, Kings

Knicks

OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns set the tone.

Anunoby finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds, while Towns posted 20 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists for his fourth triple-double as the Knicks beat the Grizzlies, 130-119.

Mikal Bridges added 24 as New York snapped a three-game skid.

The Knicks didn’t waste time. They hit 13 of their first 15 shots, dominated inside early and shot 71 percent in the first half. The 79 first-half points marked a season high.

New York remains third in the East, 1 1/2 games ahead of the Cavaliers.

76ers

Paul George carried the load.

George scored a season-high 39 points as the 76ers wallped the Wizards, 153-131, without Joel Embiid.

He went 15-of-22 from the field and hit six threes in his fourth game back from suspension.

Tyrese Maxey added 28 points and nine assists, while VJ Edgecombe finished with 23 points and 10 assists.

Philadelphia shot 69 percent as a starting group and broke things open with a 24-4 run in the third. The Sixers have now scored at least 150 in back-to-back Wednesday games.

They’ve also won 11 of 12 against Washington.

Kings

DeMar DeRozan made his move late.

DeRozan scored 14 of his 28 points in the fourth as the Kings beat the Raptors on the road, 123-115. He also moved past Dominique Wilkins into 17th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

Precious Achiuwa added 28 points and a season-high 19 rebounds. Malik Monk scored 18 as Sacramento snapped a four-game skid.

The Kings went 27-of-29 from the line. That helped.
