NBA Moves: Kings, Terence Davis, Mavericks, Jamarion Sharp, Bucks

The Kings have parted ways with veteran guard Terence Davis, per the NBA’s official transaction log.

Davis, 28, had a non-guaranteed $2.5 million salary for the upcoming season, so Sacramento won’t be on the hook financially after releasing him.

Davis played his best ball with the Kings after arriving from Toronto in 2021, carving out a scoring role off the bench.

A ruptured Achilles in 2023-24 derailed his career, but he bounced back to average 14.3 points on 40 percent shooting from deep in the G League last season. His release trims the Kings’ roster to 14 guaranteed contracts.

Sacramento has been linked to trade interest in Jonathan Kuminga and free-agent guard Russell Westbrook, so the move also frees up flexibility should either scenario advance.

Mavericks add size: Dallas is bringing 7-foot-5 center Jamarion Sharp back on an Exhibit 10 deal, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Sharp was with the Mavs in camp last year before spending the season with the Texas Legends, averaging 5.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.1 blocks. He’ll compete for one of Dallas’ two-way spots, as the Mavs still have an opening.

Bucks sign Ryan: Milwaukee announced the addition of guard Cormac Ryan on an Exhibit 10 contract.

Ryan impressed with the Bucks’ Summer League team in Las Vegas, averaging nearly 12 points in five games. The former North Carolina standout spent last season in the G League with Oklahoma City’s affiliate, where he averaged 12.5 points and shot it well from three.

He’ll likely land with the Wisconsin Herd, where an Exhibit 10 bonus could kick in if he sticks.
