The Memphis Grizzlies are signing forward Matthew Hurt to a second 10-day contract, agent Kevin Bradbury told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Hurt, 23, is 6-foot-9 and signed a 10-day deal with Memphis at the end of last month, appearing in three games. He then returned to the Memphis Hustle of the G League. For the season, he 21.8 points and 7.3 rebounds with the Hustle.
With the Grizzlies, he’s appeared in three games and is averaging 5.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 19 minutes a night.
Hurt went undrafted out of Duke in 2021 and has spent most of his pro career in the G League.
The Grizzlies signed Hurt in September before releasing him in the middle of October. He has also spent time with the Houston Rockets in training camp and their G League affiliate in 2021-22.
Memphis (20-37) is undergoing a rebuilding season after the injuries to star guard Ja Morant and center Steven Adams, since traded to the Houston Rockets.
