Bucks

Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo remains sidelined with the calf strain that’s kept him out since early December, but there was at least some movement Sunday.

Antetokounmpo took part in the team’s shootaround ahead of the matchup with Minnesota, according to Eric Nehm of The Athletic. He did not play, and the organization continues to stress caution, but simply being on the floor marked progress for the two-time MVP.

No return date has been set. The Bucks are clearly thinking long-term here, even if the standings would prefer otherwise.

Mavericks

Mavericks rookie standout Cooper Flagg is questionable for Monday’s game against New Orleans due to a back contusion, according to Mike Curtis of the Dallas Morning News.

Flagg has been on a tear, averaging nearly 28 points over his last four games, so any absence would be noticeable. And he’s not alone on the injury report.

Klay Thompson (knee soreness), Max Christie (illness), and two-way players Moussa Cisse and Miles Kelly are also listed as questionable, giving the Mavericks a longer pregame checklist than they’d prefer.

Warriors

Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga is expected to be available Monday after missing Saturday’s win over Phoenix, per Nick Friedell of The Athletic.

Kuminga was present at the team’s film session and appears ready to rejoin a rotation that has been anything but stable. He’s played just once in Golden State’s last five games and has drifted in and out of Steve Kerr’s plans this season.

Two other names remain sidelined. Al Horford is still dealing with a back issue and has appeared in only 13 games in his first season with the team. Seth Curry remains out with a glute injury and has played just twice since joining the Warriors earlier this month.
