Knicks

The Knicks have won plenty, but questions remain about how Karl-Anthony Towns fits in coach Mike Brown’s offense, per Stefan Bondy of the New York Post.

Towns is averaging his fewest field-goal attempts since his rookie year, and his scoring is at its lowest point in that span. He has also been mentioned in trade chatter dating back to last summer.

“I continue to worry about what’s the task at hand,” Towns said. “That’s being the best player I can be for my brothers and my teammates here in New York. Every game is about can I impact winning the most.”

Pelicans

If the NBA had a comeback award, Saddiq Bey would be in the mix, writes NOLA.com’s Rod Walker.

The Pelicans wing has averaged 17.4 points after missing last season with a torn ACL. He scored 42 points in Thursday’s win at Utah.

“He deserves the credit because he works on it every day,” interim coach James Borrego said. “He does not take a day for granted.”

Pacers

The Pacers will need to be strategic with their two-way players down the stretch, writes Tony East of Forbes.

With 22 games remaining, each two-way player has a limited number of contests in which he can be active. Taelon Peter can be active for 14 more games, Jalen Slawson for 13 and Ethan Thompson for 10.

That math will require careful juggling as Indiana navigates injuries and rotation needs over the final stretch.

Managing availability could become just as important as performance.
