Warriors

Stephen Curry will miss the Warriors’ NBA Cup opener Friday in Denver. Anthony Slater of ESPN reported Curry got sick on the recent road swing.

He felt symptoms before Tuesday’s game in Phoenix and said afterward he was drained in the second half. Golden State is keeping him home and targeting a Sunday return against the Pacers.

Draymond Green is listed as probable with the rib contusion. Jimmy Butler III is questionable with a lower back strain. Coach Steve Kerr said both players are hopeful to play.

Lakers

The Lakers are not rushing Austin Reaves back. JJ Redick told reporters Reaves is “TBD” for Saturday against the Hawks, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

He tested his groin before Wednesday’s win over the Spurs but did not get clearance.

The Lakers have been cautious with soft tissue injuries early in the season and this fits the pattern.

Wizards

Bilal Coulibaly is out Friday against Cleveland, per Josh Robbins of The Athletic.

He missed the first four games of the season after thumb surgery and now has lower left leg tightness. He exited Wednesday’s game early.

Robbins added that Khris Middleton is available after missing the past two games.

Washington needs Coulibaly’s length and activity — but for now, he sits.
