The NBA has decided to postpone the Pistons’ home game against the Wizards on Wednesday, as the Pistons have been unable to fly out of Dallas, per Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press.
Dallas is experiencing heavy ice storms, creating hazardous travel conditions. The Pistons played in Dallas against the Mavericks on Monday.
“Due to severe weather conditions in the Dallas area, the Pistons have been unable to fly back to Detroit after their game on Monday at American Airlines Center,” the league announced in a statement.
Along with that, the Pelicans’ road game vs. the Mavericks, scheduled for Thursday, could also be in jeopardy, as relayed by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Pelicans played in Denver on Tuesday and remained there Wednesday, per Wojnarowski.
Good question. There's a good chance they won't be able to leave Dallas until Thursday, but it'll be above freezing tomorrow so the odds for Friday's game seem good right now https://t.co/G1ABVhCLNc

No makeup date for the Wizards-Pistons game has been determined. Both teams are off Thursday, but have games scheduled for Friday and Saturday. That would mean three games in three nights, which is unheard of in today’s NBA.
Both teams have been informed of the postponement by the league office, per Wojnarowski.
