Hawks
Atlanta is drawing a firm line on Onyeka Okongwu.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Hawks have rebuffed trade inquiries for Okongwu and view him as a core piece, preferring to add frontcourt help around him rather than move him.
Indiana has been mentioned as one of the teams that previously expressed interest.
While Okongwu appears off-limits, Atlanta is more flexible elsewhere. Kristaps Porzingis and Luke Kennard are considered potential trade candidates, and the Hawks have signaled a willingness to use their room below the luxury tax to absorb additional salary if it comes with second-round draft compensation attached.
Atlanta currently sits roughly $7 million under the tax line and has multiple trade exceptions available, including one north of $13 million.
If needed, the Hawks could also waive N’Faly Dante, who suffered a season-ending ACL tear, to open a roster spot.
As for the Giannis Antetokounmpo chatter, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reports Atlanta has zero interest in moving Jalen Johnson or its prized 2026 first-round pick.
Hornets
Miles Bridges continues to draw calls.
Siegel reports the Bucks and Hornets discussed a framework involving Bridges and Bobby Portis, but Charlotte is holding firm on its valuation.
While the Hornets have some interest in Portis, there has been no real traction, and Milwaukee’s direction could shift depending on what happens with Giannis.
Wizards
Washington is keeping its long-term vision centered on Alex Sarr.
League sources told HoopsHype that while the Wizards have explored Jazz center Walker Kessler, they still view Sarr as their center of the future.
Scotto adds that Khris Middleton’s $33.3 million expiring contract has drawn exploratory interest, though extracting meaningful value may be difficult.
