Lakers
The Lakers may like Jonathan Kuminga, but the feeling is not mutual. Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reports Golden State has made it clear that Los Angeles does not have players the Warriors covet.
No offers. No real talks. No traction.
Siegel adds that even if the Lakers dangled their lone tradable first-round pick, the Warriors still would not bite. Golden State is instead looking to flip Kuminga’s salary for a wing upgrade elsewhere, not hand a young talent to a division rival.
Kuminga is currently sidelined with a bone bruise in his left knee. There is no firm timetable, though it is not viewed as a long-term issue.
Pistons
Detroit is at least listening on Jaden Ivey, per Siegel, though it would take a substantial upgrade to move him.
The Pistons are believed to be hunting wing help and have been linked to Pelicans forward Herb Jones in recent chatter.
Ivey, the No. 5 pick in 2022, is averaging a career-low 17.0 minutes per game in 29 appearances as he approaches restricted free agency.
Raptors
Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports Toronto’s most likely deadline path is trimming payroll below the luxury tax while adding center depth. Names on the radar include Daniel Gafford, Goga Bitadze, and Day’Ron Sharpe.
Quiet deadline? Maybe. But Toronto is clearly window shopping.
