Several veteran big men are expected to hit the trade market ahead of the February 5 deadline, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

And this year’s group could be one of the deeper frontcourt pools we have seen in a while.

The Nets are expected to receive calls on Nic Claxton. The Suns have kept Nick Richards available since the offseason. The Trail Blazers are now more open to moving Robert Williams than they were a year ago.

Jazz center Jusuf Nurkic is also expected to draw some interest, though Utah may not get much back given his $19 million cap hit.

One of the most interesting names belongs to the Bulls. Nikola Vucevic is on an expiring deal worth $21.5 million and continues to deliver at age 35.

He is averaging 16.7 points and 9.6 rebounds on nearly 50 percent shooting and over 40 percent from three.

Fischer added that some rival executives are wondering if Chicago might think bigger.

With so much expiring money and real cap flexibility, the Bulls could aim higher than the rental market.

Anthony Davis and Domantas Sabonis were two names mentioned as theoretical targets if Chicago wanted to reshape its frontcourt.

Whether the Bulls take that kind of swing or simply cash out Vucevic, the center market is shaping up to be busy.
