Spurs
The Spurs have kept a line open to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s camp for years, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.
Per Fischer, San Antonio has spoken multiple times with Antetokounmpo’s U.S.-based agent Alex Saratsis about the possibility of joining their front office. It is an unusual link, and the kind of detail that usually sparks speculation about long-term planning.
Even so, Fischer said there is no guarantee the Spurs would become major players if Giannis ever requested a trade.
The sticking point is simple. San Antonio has been unwilling to consider moving Dylan Harper or Stephon Castle.
Those two are seen as foundational pieces, and the organization has not shown any interest in packaging them for anyone, even Antetokounmpo.
Warriors
The Warriors have drawn firm lines in past trade talks. Fischer wrote that Golden State has “never been close” to putting both Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski in the same offer.
They also have not seriously entertained anything that involves moving Draymond Green. That has been the internal stance for several years.
But Fischer believes all three of those positions could be revisited if Antetokounmpo is on the table. When a superstar of that caliber becomes available, the conversation changes.
The Warriors are not expected to rush into anything, but the league sense is clear. They would at least listen.
Hawks
As we relayed earlier, the Hawks might hold one of the most powerful pieces in any potential Giannis sweepstakes.
Atlanta owns the 2026 first-round pick it acquired from New Orleans, and Fischer wrote that dangling that asset could make a compelling offer.
If Milwaukee ever explored a deal, gaining control of both their own and the Pelicans’ pick in that draft would carry enormous appeal.
Fischer added that he has been told repeatedly and “quite strongly” that the Hawks will not trade that “most favorable” pick.
It is the type of asset that could end up with the best odds at No. 1 overall. Teams do not part with those easily.
Still, Fischer believes Atlanta would have to at least think about it if it meant adding a superstar like Giannis.
