Suns Player Told DeMarcus Cousins About Locker Room Fistfights, Kevin Durant Says Teammate Is Lying

Former NBA center DeMarcus Cousins revealed on Friday that the Phoenix Suns had multiple fistfights in the locker room this season.

Kevin Durant saw what Cousins said and stated that it was a lie. 

Cousins responded to Durant, saying that a Suns player is the person who told him about the fistfights. 

Durant then replied by saying Cousins’ source is lying.

The Suns just need to trade Durant so we don’t have to talk about his Phoenix stint anymore. It’s been a disaster all the way around. 

Durant requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets and was traded to the Suns in 2023. Phoenix lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 2023 playoffs, which isn’t a bad look since the Nuggets won the championship that year. 

However, the last two seasons have been terrible for Durant and the Suns, who were swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2024 playoffs and missed the postseason this year. 

Durant, 36, has one year left on his contract. The NBA legend wants to get traded to the San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat or Houston Rockets.

However, the Suns can trade KD anywhere because the forward doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract. 

You know who does have a no-trade clause? Bradley Beal. In an ideal world, the Suns trade Beal and keep Durant next to Devin Booker. 

However, Beal has given no indication that he will waive his no-trade clause. 

Durant remains one of the best players in the NBA. He averaged 26.6 points this season while shooting 52.7% from the floor, 43.0% from beyond the arc and 83.9% from the foul line. 

A future Hall of Famer, Durant has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Nets and Suns. It will be fascinating to see where he’s playing next season.
