The 76ers are moving veteran guard Eric Gordon to the Grizzlies.

Sources tell Shams Charania of ESPN that Philadelphia will also send a 2032 second-round pick swap to Memphis.

In return, the Sixers will receive the NBA draft rights to Justinian Jessup, according to Kyle Neubeck of PHLY Sports. Jessup, 27, was a second-round pick in 2020 and is currently playing for Bayern Munich.

Memphis has a full roster and plans to waive Georges Niang to complete the deal, per Grant Afseth of Dallas Hoops Journal. Niang was acquired from Utah earlier this week and is on an $8.2 million expiring contract.

For Philadelphia, the move clears a roster spot and serves a specific purpose. It opens the door for the Sixers to convert two-way forward Dominick Barlow to a standard contract.

Barlow has started 33 of 40 games this season and is averaging career highs of 8.4 points and 5.1 rebounds in 24 minutes per night. He has 10 games remaining on his two-way limit and must be signed to a standard deal to be playoff eligible.

Gordon, 37, appeared in just six games this season and largely served as a veteran presence in the locker room.

His $3.6 million expiring contract carries a modest $2.3 million cap hit, making the move easy to absorb for Memphis.

Another tidy piece of deadline business for Philadelphia.
