If Giannis Antetokounmpo requests a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks this summer, the Cleveland Cavaliers could submit a trade offer for the two-time MVP involving two All-Stars.
Under CBA rules, the Cavaliers could trade Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen to the Bucks for Antetokounmpo, who has spent his entire career in Milwaukee.

The Indiana Pacers beat the Bucks in the first round of the 2025 playoffs in five games. Milwaukee has won only one postseason series since winning the championship in 2021 against the Phoenix Suns.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers are down 2-0 to the Pacers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Garland hasn’t played since the first round against the Miami Heat due to a left big toe injury.
Milwaukee signed Antetokounmpo to a three-year, $175 million extension in October 2023. Antetokounmpo will make $54,126,380 next season.
One of the top players in NBA history, Antetokounmpo averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.2 blocks for the Bucks this season.
Antetokounmpo is a two-time MVP, a one-time Finals MVP, a one-time Defensive Player of the Year and a nine-time All-Star. The superstar forward has career averages of 23.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.2 blocks.
If the Cavaliers lose to the Pacers, Koby Altman has to think about changing the roster this summer. Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley are untouchable. They are firmly established as top players in the NBA.
The odds of the Bucks trading Antetokounmpo to a division rival are very, very low. However, after the Luka Doncic trade, anything is possible.
