As an added bonus, after shopping Finney-Smith last year, the Nets have reportedly lowered their asking price, which only increases the likelihood of a deal.
At 6-foot-7, Finney-Smith brings a unique skill set that has made him highly sought after by teams looking for a 3-and-D player. This season, he’s taking his game to new heights, shooting a career-high 44.8% from beyond the arc, which makes him an even more valuable asset.
His ability to stretch the floor and defend multiple positions has made him a key piece for the Nets, but Brooklyn’s willingness to move him suggests they might be rethinking their current roster composition.
For teams like Cleveland, Memphis, Sacramento, and Los Angeles, Finney-Smith could be the type of piece to offer a noticeable boost.
