Nets guard/forward Joe Harris may need a second surgery on his injured left ankle, agent Mark Bartelstein told Brian Lewis of the New York Post.
Harris has been out since late November, when suffered the injury and needed to undergo a first surgery. At the time, Nets coach Steve Nash said Harris had a “bone particle” stuck in his ankle, and that the surgery to move it could be considered a good thing.
A second surgery “would fix the ankle once and for good. But we’re not sure if we need that or not,” Bartelstein told Lewis.
A decision is expected to be made in a week or two, Lewis added.
Harris, 30, has appeared in just 13 games this season, having missed six before the initial surgery. At the time, the Nets said they expected him to miss four-to-eight weeks.
He is averaging 11.9 points and 4.1 rebounds, shooting a sizzling 46 percent on 3-pointers in the games he has played this season.
