The Nets have signed and waived power forward RaiQuan Gray, according to Keith Smith of Spotrac.
Gray, 23, is 6-oot-8 and was selected by the Nets in the second round (No. 59 overall) of the 2021 NBA Draft. He spent last season with the Long Island Nets of the G League, averaging 6.3 points and 6.3 rebounds.
The move was likely made to retain Gray’s G League rights for Long Island.
Gray also spent time with the Nets in summer league play, compiling averages of 7.0 points and 7.6 boards in five games. He played his college ball at Florida State.
