The Nets are expected to hire Igor Kokoskov as an assistant to coach Steve Nash, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Kokoskov, 50, has been an assistant with Jason Kidd and the Mavericks this past season. He has also served as an assistant with the Cavaliers, Magic, Jazz, Clippers, Kings and Suns, as well as coached the Slovenian national team. He was the Suns’ head coach during the 2018-19 season.
As we relayed previously, the Nets are expected to shake up the coaching staff under Nash, and parts of the front office under GM Sean Marks.
The Nets were swept by the Celtics in the first-round of the playoffs and enter the offseason with nine players eligible for free agency.
