The Nets have waived guards Josh Gray and Bryce Brown, the team announced in a press release.
Both players were recently signed, but clearly for the purpose of joining the G League’s Long Island Nets. They will now be eligible to earn up to $50,000 bonuses.
Long Island recently acquired Gray’s rights from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Brown’s rights from the Westchester Knicks.
Gray, 28, is 6-foot-1 and has played in a combined seven games with the Suns and Pelicans. He has played in the G League in each of the past two seasons.
Brown, 23, is 6-3 and has been in the G League since 2019, first with the Maine Red Claws and then Westchester.
Brooklyn’s roster currently stands at 18.
