Former Raptors coach Nick Nurse has no shortage of fans in NBA front offices.
Along with apparently being a finalist with the Bucks, Nurse is drawing strong interest from the Suns and 76ers in their own coaching searches, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Suns, of course, are looking to replace Monty Williams, another hot coaching candidate. Meanwhile, the 76ers fired Doc Rivers, and his future remains unclear. He is not a known candidate anywhere else at the moment.
Nurse, 55, won a championship as coach of the Raptors in 2019, compiling an overall record of 227-163 in five seasons in Toronto. He went 25-16 in the playoffs.
Before becoming head coach in Toronto, Nurse spent five years as an assistant. He also coached the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Iowa Energy of the G League, as well as served as a coach in the British Basketball League.
Neither the Suns nor the 76ers have given a timeframe for a coaching hire.
Nurse looms prominently in Phoenix and Philadelphia searches too, sources say.
