Former NBA swingman Nik Stauskas has been lighting things up in the G League. How so?
Well, Stauskas has combined to score 100 points over his last two games with the Grand Rapids Gold, including a 57u-point eruption on March 1 vs. the Wisconsin Herd.
The Gold are the Nuggets’ affiliate, and perhaps Denver will want to consider calling him up after an inexplicable home loss to the Thunder on Wednesday.
He followed his 57-pointer with a 43-point outburst vs. the Lakeland Magic on the very next night.
Stauskas, 28, is 6-foot-6 and actually signed a 10-day deal with the Heat earlier this season, when about half the NBA was in health and safety protocols. He averaged 5.5 points in those two games.
Nik Stauskas already has 55 points in this one … and counting. https://t.co/I3xJnNho6a

Prior to that, his previous NBA experience came with the Cavaliers in 2018-19, when he appeared in 24 games. He has also spent time with the Trail Blazers, Nets, 76ers and Kings. He carries NBA career averages of 6.8 points and 2.1 rebounds.
With more performances like the ones he had lately, he may soon find another NBA home.
