CLEVELAND — Reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic of the Nuggets is an All-Star teammate of Mavericks star Luka Doncic on Team LeBron, but Jokic isn’t so sure they make a good pair.
“Off the court, I think we’re doing really good job. But we’re going to see on the court,” Jokic joked. “I don’t know how we’re going to do it because he’s not athletic. I’m not athletic, so I don’t know how we’re going to match.”
Of course, Jokic and Doncic have made a lot of noise in the NBA despite what Jokic views as non-athleticism. You could argue, in fact, that they are among the top 5-7 players in the entire league.
Luka is sitting at the podium next to Nikola Jokic. Luka interrupted Joker’s session to wave at him. Joker had a small ball and whipped it at him.
Jokic was asked how he feels about Luka:

And while this game doesn’t matter, it should still be fun watching a lineup that could at times feature Jokic, Doncic and, oh yeah, LeBron James and maybe Steph Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Athletic or not, that would be a fairly fearsome fivesome. That’s what the All-Star Game is all about, no?
